Annihilate ARROGANT ATTITUDE
Who devour the whole goodness
The Prophet SAW said: "Be careful you all to envy (envy), because actually envy it shall devour the whole goodness as firewood fires wiping out" (Abu Dawud)
In the Al-Falaq, Allah commands believers to seek refuge in Allah from the evil of the envious when he envy. Meaning al-envy or malice is expecting pleasure owned by others disappeared. As if just expect to have a similar pleasure without coupled with the hope that favors it disappeared from the hands of others, it is not al-envy, but ghibthah and munafasah (fair competition).
However, sometimes the word al-hasad interpreted also al-ghibthah. If so, it means that connote positive. Things like this regarded as commendable in two circumstances, namely, as has been described by the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad:
"There is no envy (which is allowed) [laa hasada] apart in only two things: someone who was given by God treasure, then he spend it on the right, and a man who was given by God of knowledge, and then he put it into practice with the consequent and teach (to others) "(Bukhari).
Envy is a bad trait to look out by every Muslim. The inappropriate nature of accompanying a Muslim unbelievers in Allah, the Prophet, and the final day.
One characteristic of a true Muslim is clean soul of nature deceptive and envy, and of violating promises and resentment. Hygiene human soul where fleshly which encourages a sincere worship of Allah, worship, prayer enforce, and bermunajat at night, fasting in the daytime. (Ahmad)
In one story, narrated that the Prophet had mentioned a friend Anshor as "one of the hosts of heaven".
Abdullah bin Amr who want to know the practice Ansor companions, asked for permission to stay in his home for three days. Abdullah did not find special practice, he did not even see him perform the night prayer, except that each man was berbalk in his sleep, he mentioned the name of God.
Finally Abdullah bin Amr asked why the man can achieve degrees as said the Prophet TSB. He replied: "I do nothing other than what you have noticed, but not stored at all in my heart the desire to cheat one of the Muslims or spiteful put him on the good that God has given to him." Then Abdullah berakata "Is this what has been raised so high derajatmu ?!"
It was narrated from Ibn Mas'ud that the Prophet SAW said:
"There are three things that the root of all sin. Take heed and beware of all three.
(1) Beware of vanity, because vanity has made the devil refused prostrate to Adam.
(2) Beware of greed, because greed has caused Adam to eat of the forbidden tree.
(3) And guard yourselves from envy, because envy has caused one of the children of Adam killed his brother (Reported by Ibn Asakir)
Muawiya said, "There is no crime yanglebih properties upright rather than malice. Envious man perish before those who didengkinya."
It is said that Moses saw human seornag near 'Throne. because Moses wants to occupy that position, he beranya, "What is charity?" That question was answered, "He never envious of the man by the grace of Allah to him."
Umar bin Abdul Aziz asserted, "I've never seen anyone more unjust same spiteful injustice. Because he is always in a state of misery and shortness of breath."
